About Brussels
Brussels, Bruxelles or Stad Brussel consists of 18 municipalities, and the conurbation also includes several suburbs. The Brussels-Capital Region is one of three regions in the federal Belgian state.
The city of Brussels has about 1.21 million inhabitants, the Brussels agglomeration considerably more. The city is an important administrative, industrial and not least political centre. But the city is also rich in art, culture and lifestyle: numerous theatres, the opera house La Monnaie and museums of all kinds - and contemporary music is also well represented - many music bars, concert halls and techno clubs.
The city's architecture is strikingly Art Nouveau and it has a great artist scene - the surrealist René Magritte lived here for most of his life - half of his paintings can be seen in the Rene Magritte Museum.
And last but not least, Brussels is the capital of comics. The lively and long cartoon tradition finds its expression in numerous murals on the facades of the houses.
Gourmets can also enjoy themselves: 1800 restaurants with a multitude of top-class eateries speak for themselves. But even those who only prefer beer and French fries, for which Brussels is world-famous, will find both here!
Business Fairs and Major Events
The Brussels Metropolitan Region is one of the most important economic regions in the world. Together with the other major European cities, Brussels is one of the great financial centres of Europe and the world. Important economic sectors of the chemical, electrical, printing or textile industries are located here as well as a large service sector.
INTERLINE Brussels offers a tailor-made chauffeur service and exclusive limousines.

Sightseeing in Brussels
The Grote Markt, the "Great Market" is the central square in the capital, one of its landmarks, and is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The square is not only beautiful, but also famous. The busy square is home not only to the town hall, but also to the various guild houses worth visiting.
The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula, known to the locals simply as St. Gudule, has existed in its present form since 1226 and is the main church in Brussels - after all, King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola were married here.
If you prefer something more futuristic, head for the Atomium - the 1958 Expo greeted you cheerfully from the past!
A classic sight is the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert - one of the largest and oldest shopping arcades in Europe with architectural radiance - and weather-protected shop and café arcades: the Lumière brothers showed their first films here in 1896.
Sightseeing classics are the Royal Palace or Laeken Castle - both of which are hard to beat in terms of grandeur and size. And if you want to take a stroll, simply go to the Mont des Arts - here you will find several of Brussels' sights at a glance.
There is so much to see in Brussels – just sit back and enjoy a private sightseeing tour with INTERLINE Brussels limousine service.
Nightlife and Dining
A special feature of Belgian cuisine is the combination of French cuisine with the rather hearty Flemish cuisine. Brussels specialities are in particular the Belgian waffles Belgian waffles (gaufres) and the mussels (usually served as "moules-frites" with French fries).
A treat is the "Brussels cake" - an elaborate cake with two layers, a sponge cake roll edge and creamy berry cream in the middle.
Last but not least, the city is a stronghold of chocolate and praline manufacturers with traditional companies located here. In addition, for those who simply want to have a good time, Brussels - like any cosmopolitan city - has a large number of clubs, bars and live stages.
Just ask one of our INTERLINE Brussels chauffeurs – they know the best restaurant, bar or club in town.
